High School Guy Portraits | Tips for you | Colorado Springs High School Senior Tips

{your look}
We allow you to bring as many outfits to your session as you like, but guys generally bring 2 or 3. You will probably need to change in the car so plan accordingly.    The best plan of actions is to bring at least a few different looks that look good, coordinate well, and fit the look that look good. The location of your session should also help determine what you are going to weawr.   Will we shooting in an urban area? At a field?

Good fit and color is important for you.  What color do you look good in? Baggy shirts are comfortable but can look kind of sloppy in pictures.   Shirts are little more on the fitted side are a good choice.  Layers and textures are your friend!

Be sure to try on your clothes before your session.  You want only the best looks for your session.  Remember that layering textured sweaters, and jackets can add dimension to your photos.

I do retouch on your photos so please don't sweat minor breakouts.

{the small stuff|
Get your hair cut at least a week if you can.
Your choice of shoes can also make all the differnce in your finished portraits.    Examples are sperrys, vans, converse, trendy leather matches up with jeans for a dressier look.

{just be you}
 Don't forget that you are welcome to bring any clothing or props that represent your interest.   Bring your items along and we can incorporate them into your session.

{the big day}
First of all, relax!  Don't stress.  I will help you with knowing how to stand out so don't feel like you have to know how to pose like a model.    If however there are some poses you would like to be completed, bring them!
Be sure to arrive on time to your session.   The time of the session is usually determined by when the light will be the best.  If you are late, it means that won't be able to capture as many images.
{ Weather}
The weather in Colorado is not exactly reliable.   Cloudy days are great.  Rainy days... not so much.   Call me if you have any doubts or concerns on the day of the session and we'll decide if we can work with the weather or if we need to reschedule.
